Location
The Illesheim Castle is situated near the Aisch on the northwestern outskirts of Illesheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Bavaria, Germany.
The area of this property is covered by extensive forests and hilly regions suitable for hiking.
History
Not many records of this castle's history are found and available for the public. The castle is said to be built by Christian Ernst of Berlichingen in 1732. The castle was remodelled in the 19th century. Until the late 20th century, the property was left in ruin and severely damaged. The first renovation started in 1980 when a new owner took over the property.
Reconstruction
The ADN group is investing in the property's modernisation and reconstruction and creating a possibility for a long-term rental agreement to lease this property to organisations that assist people in need and require space for care and rehabilitation. Currently, the reconstruction work has stopped.
